Families F.A.Q.

Where would OnSight take the photographs?  We will come to you... your house... the beach ...the park ...or wherever you wish to have the portrait taken. Hunnington Park, on the Hampton side of the James River Bridge offers a nice variety of backgrounds.  We also use Virginia Beach at 63rd street.  The Norfolk Botanical Gardens are nice but there would be an admission charge added.

When is a good time?  We like to start about 2 hours before sunset to avoid harsh shadows and squinting eyes.  If everyone is gathering for a cookout or a swim at the beach we suggest that pictures be taken prior to eating and/or "getting dirty".

How much do you charge?  We charge $350 as a sitting fee (per event, NOT per person).  This would include a 16x20 enlargement.   There are no travel fees for the Tidewater/Hampton Roads area. 

How much are reprints and enlargements?

  4X5 ……….$5.00        5X7………$10.00         8X10……. $25.00        11X14 ….. $40.00           16X20 ….$125.00

We also offer custom printing, canvas, oil enhancements, wallets and retouching.

How many families would that include?  The sitting fee covers the entire group (up to approximately 50  people).  We would also photograph individual families, couples, kids, grandkids, the pets etc.  

Is there a minimum order?  No.  We do not offer specific packages, allowing you to order only those prints that you want and need.  

How do we get to see the pictures? We will notify you in about 2 weeks that we have the proofs and arrange a time for you to come and select your print and place additional orders if you would like. There is no obligation or "high pressure sales tactics" to purchase anything else.  We would suggest that any other members that might be interested in ordering reprints and enlargement to do so at that time.  We hold the proofs and negatives for 30 days after you receive your order.
